A qualitative and quantitative questionnaire.

WeNR is a tool for measuring the footprint of organisations’ IT systems.

This tool enables any type of organisation to analyse where the environmental impacts are and to measure their level of Sustainable IT maturity, based on the triptych People-Planet-Prosperity.

For this purpose, ISIT proposes a tool based on open and public data.

This questionnaire allows you to evaluate your equipment, your data centers, your use of the Cloud and to assess the overall maturity of your organisation when it comes to Sustainable IT.

Our Tool

WeNR is a tool that comes in 3 versions to meet the needs of as many organisations as possible: from the qualitative maturity audit to the comparative audit by sector of activity, detailed quantitative and actionable.

WeNR is an ISIT project based on work carried out over several years over the 2014-2018 period: the business collective that preceded the creation of ISIT produced three successive benchmarks in 2016, 2017 and 2018 to calculate the environmental footprint of the digital footprint of major French companies. In 2018, the benchmark led to the release of the WeGreenIT study produced in partnership with WWF and handed over in person in 2019 to Ms. Brune Poirson, Secretary of State for Ecological Transition.

WeNR has set INR on a path of sustainable measurement: its calculation engine uses the same methodological framework as the benchmark carried out in 2018. This strong technical base on which INR relies allows WeNR to reposition itself within an ambitious and evolving reference framework.

The contributors

In partnership with La Rochelle University, EIGSI, Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, DINUM and ADEME, the WeNR 2023 is based on the work of a thesis funded by the La Rochelle agglomeration and a scientific collaboration with the Swiss ISIT, the Belgian ISIT and the University of Louvain (UCLouvain).

WeNR also involves all the members of the ISIT in Europe to refine the calculation model created and enrich the WeNR engine with initial data.
